Background of Ambulance Service

Medilife Ambulance Services is a unit under SRI TANJUNG MEDICARE (M) SDN BHD which owns 5 units of well-equipped state-of-the-art Type Ambulance, which is on 24 hours Standby.

Our main role is to provide ambulance transfer to all the hospitals, medical facilities, and residential areas such as:

  1. From house to hospital
  2. From hospital to house
  3. Emergency Standby
  4. Nationwide transfer (Thailand/Singapore)
  5. Event Standby
  6. Medical Drills
  7. Medical Camps
  8. Sports Event Standby
  9. Charity Standby
  10. Factory Standby
  11. Private Corporate Standby
  12. Government or Semi-Government Organization Event Standby
  13. Non-Government Organization (NGO) event standby 
  14. Air Ambulance Services (Overseas Transfer via Private Jet/Commercial Airlines)
  15. Flying Doctors Escorts

We operate with timely and quality manner, across the nation, 24 hours a day, and 365 days a year. Medilife Ambulance is steadily becoming an integral part of the local primary healthcare. We also provide ambulance standby service for hospitals, factories and events.

Our services can be divided into 3 categories:

A. Ambulance Standby Service Type 1

  1. The ambulance and the crew are stationed in a designated area and do not leave the area for the entire service duration, except when injury or medical emergency occurs at the premise. 
  2. The agreement period for Type 1 standby is usually between 2 years to 5 years.
  3. The patients will be given first aid treatment and if necessary, rushed to the nearest hospital.
  4. Ambulance standby services Type 1 are given to hospitals, as well as factories and industries that have potential hazard risk or high risk of injuries.

Medilife Ambulance Services currently has an Agreement and serves:

  1. Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital as their main 24/7 ambulance service provider and stationed one(1) unit of well-equipped ambulance at their premises with two(2) qualified medical staff.
  2. PantaiMutiara Hospitalas their 24/7 back-up team.
  3. Penang International Airport as their main 24/7 ambulance service provider and stationed one(1) unit of well-equipped ambulance at their premises with two(2) qualified medical

B. Ambulance Standby Service Type 2

  1. The ambulance and the crew are stationed in a designated area and do not leave the area for the entire service duration, except when injury or medical emergency occurs at the premise.
  2. The agreement period for Type 2 standby is usually between few hours to few months (less than 1 year).
  3. The patients will be given first aid treatment and if necessary, rushed to the nearest hospital.
  4. Our resources at these venues are generally required for the care of participants, but may also be involved in treating sick or injured members of the public.
  5. Ambulance standby services Type 2 are provided for:
    Activities & Events (Sports, Company Event, Charity, Government & NGO Events)
    Short-term projects such as film shootings

Medilife Ambulance Services has served:

  1. Kechara Soup Kitchen as their ambulance service provider and stationed one(1) unit of well-equipped ambulance at their designated area with two(2) qualified medical staff on weekly basis.
  2. Biscuit Films for Indian Summers shooting as their as their ambulance service provider and stationed one(1) qualified medical staff with back up of one(1)unit of well-equipped ambulance at their designated area with two(2) qualified medical staff when needed.
  3. VCON 2014/2015 (Event) as their main ambulance service provider for the event that comprises of 10,000-20,000 of international participants.  We stationed two (2) unit of well-equipped ambulance at their premises with six(6) qualified medical staff and emergency doctors standby.

C. Patient Transport Service

The Patient Transport Service (PTS) is a service provided by Medilife Ambulance for patients who don't require emergency transport. These patients require transport to or from health facility such as a hospital, clinics or healthcare centre, but due to clinical requirements are unable to use private or public transport.

A new centralised booking and dispatch service has been established to provide an improved service for patients. By calling 04-6463999, the patient/relatives can book transfer appointments at ease.
